Gastrointestinal Medical Oncologist

AdventHealth Medical Group (AHMG) is seeking a fellowship-trained Gastrointestinal Medical Oncologist to join their expanding oncology team at AdventHealth Celebration. This role offers the opportunity to contribute to one of Florida's largest and most comprehensive cancer programs, known for excellence in patient care, research, and innovation. The position involves both inpatient and outpatient responsibilities, with a primary focus on GI malignancies.

• Part of AdventHealth Orlando, the system's tertiary referral center.
• Access to the state-of-the-art AdventHealth Cancer Institute, a nationally recognized program.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of physicians, APPs, nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, and nutrition services.
• Established infusion centers, surgical oncology, GI surgery, hepatobiliary surgery, and radiation oncology available onsite.
• Extensive regional network with 7+ medical oncology sites across Central Florida for collaboration and referral support.
• AdventHealth Celebration is a 317-bed, state-of-the-art hospital.

Responsibilities

• Primary focus on GI malignancies.
• Inpatient and outpatient responsibilities at AdventHealth Orlando.
• Collaborate with a dedicated team of world-class physicians and APPs, along with nurse navigators, social workers, chaplain support, pharmacy, and nutrition services.
• Work side by side with internationally recognized leaders in the field.
• Participation in multidisciplinary clinics, tumor boards (daily), and cutting-edge clinical trials, including Phase I research.
• Call responsibilities shared among the group.

Requirements

• Board certification in Internal Medicine with subspecialty certification/eligibility in Medical Oncology.
• Fellowship training in Gastrointestinal Oncology is strongly preferred.
• Interest in program development and contributing to the continued growth of a destination cancer program.
