Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathology - Faculty Position

FACULTY POSITION- GASTROINTESTINAL AND LIVER PATHOLOGY

The Department of Pathology of the Cleveland Clinic seeks a full‑time Gastrointestinal and Liver Pathologist to join our subspecialized practice. The section receives approximately 83,000 cases annually, including mucosal biopsies, surgical resections, medical liver biopsies, small bowel and liver transplants, extramural consults, and molecular GI pathology specimens. We also host a Gastrointestinal, Hepatobiliary and Pancreatic Pathology Fellowship Program.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a busy clinical service with active case volume.
• Engage in resident and medical‑school teaching.
• Attend weekly multidisciplinary conferences.
• Contribute to clinical or translational research.
• Maintain excellence in patient care through effective interpersonal and communication skills.

Qualifications

• GI/Liver fellowship‑trained.
• Strong diagnostic skills and scholarly accomplishments in gastrointestinal and liver pathology.
• Commitment to a strong work ethic and excellent patient care.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment.

Salary Range

Minimum salary: $340,000

Maximum salary: $505,500

The salary range displayed reflects the anticipated range for new physicians hired into full‑time (100% FTE) positions and is generally aligned with or below the 50th percentile of nationally recognized benchmarks by specialty. The exact compensation will be determined in accordance with fair market value, considering professional experience, clinical expertise, board certification, work history, and FTE. This range excludes the value of Cleveland Clinic’s comprehensive benefits package, which includes healthcare, dental, vision, retirement, and other offerings.
