- Temporary Privileges: Available Requirements
- Board-Certified or Board-Eligible Gastroenterologist
- Gastroenterology fellowship training
- Current ACLS and BLS through the American Heart Association
- Diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP proficiency
- Broad upper- and lower-endoscopy experience
- Willingness to request privileges for patients age 13 and older who weigh more than 65 kg
- Availability for one or more complete coverage blocks Clinical Details
- Provide inpatient Gastroenterology coverage and nightly call
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic ERCP
- Perform upper endoscopy with biopsy, foreign-body removal, hemostasis, variceal injection, and PEG placement
- Perform esophageal dilation and interpret manometry
- Perform small-bowel biopsy and lower GI endoscopy
- Perform colonoscopy with biopsy and polypectomy
- EUS and flexible or rigid sigmoidoscopy experience preferred
- Work with three RNs, four MAs, eight APPs, and six office staff
- No APP supervision or teaching responsibilities
