Gastroenterology Physician

Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterology Physician for a locum tenens assignment in Georgia, providing 24-hour call coverage with rounding from December 21 to December 28, 2026. This role involves inpatient rounding, procedures, and consults for both existing GI patients and new cases, with no clinic responsibilities. The position offers an opportunity to provide critical coverage within a 196-bed acute care hospital and Level II Trauma Center.

• Adult inpatient population; pediatric patients seen in the ER only

Responsibilities

• 24-hour call coverage with rounding
• Inpatient rounding
• Procedures as needed
• ED and inpatient consult coverage

Shift & Schedule

• December 21 (7am) – December 28 (7am)
• 24-hour call coverage with rounding, 7am-7am
• Weekend coverage required as part of the schedule

Requirements

• Board certified in Gastroenterology
• Active Georgia license
• Georgia DEA/CSR
• BLS and ACLS
• Clean malpractice and background for quick credentialing
• Provider must be local; no flights
• Required Procedures/Skills: Bread and Butter GI
• ERCP training preferred
