Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE Advanced Gastroenterologist to join their established team as an Adult GI-Hospitalist in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This role offers a broad-based position focusing on inpatient consults and outpatient scopes, supported by a robust GI service line and advanced practice providers. The incoming physician will contribute to a state-of-the-art facility within the largest rural health system in the United States.

- Inpatient Advanced Practice Provider coverage seven days a week
- Coverage of only one Trauma Level II facility, 500-bed Hospital
- Performing 3-4 outpatient scopes daily when on schedule in a dedicated Endoscopy Suite
Responsibilities
- Provide inpatient consults
- Perform history and physical examinations
- Admit patients (if applicable to the setting)
- Provide consultative services
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to adolescent and adult patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the stomach, intestines, and related structures, such as the esophagus, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas including biopsies
- Perform 3-4 outpatient scopes daily when on schedule in a dedicated Endoscopy Suite

Shift & Schedule
- 7 day on/7 day off schedule rotation with options for schedule flexibility within the annual work week requirement
- 26 annual work weeks
- 12 hours onsite work then 12 hours of call from home
- Shift weeks are Monday - Sunday
Requirements
- BC/BE Advanced Gastroenterologist
- Advanced ERCP training is required
- M.D. or D.O. degree
- Experience can be demonstrated by providing fellowship log (for recent graduates) or a quality profile from hospital(s) showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications
- Ability to demonstrate active involvement in 50 gastroenterology cases in the last 12 months
- Successful completion of Internal Medicine residency program
- Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
- H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
- EUS experience and skills are highly preferred, but not required
