Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join their established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This full-time role involves managing inpatient consults and collaborating with the GI outpatient team and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. The position offers a nationally competitive salary, relocation allowance, CME allowance, and fully paid malpractice insurance.

Practice Info

  • Cover one hospital location in the Albuquerque metro area
  • Primarily proceduralist role for inpatients with ambulatory patients in the morning
  • APP support for consultations
  • Anesthesia support and dedicated endoscopy suite
  • No need to admit or discharge patients as that is performed by the Medicine Hospitalist team
  • System-Wide EPIC EMR

Responsibilities

  • Makes all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen
  • Manages and oversees the physician/patient relationship
  • Participates in system-wide health management initiatives
  • Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues
  • Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards
  • Receives and resolves patient complaints
  • Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers
  • Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops

  • Board Certified in Gastroenterology
  • Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
