Gastroenterology Hospitalist Physician
Presbyterian Medical Group is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterology Hospitalist to join their established practice in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This full-time role involves managing inpatient consults and collaborating with the GI outpatient team and other healthcare professionals to ensure high-quality patient care. The position offers a nationally competitive salary, relocation allowance, CME allowance, and fully paid malpractice insurance.
Practice Info
- Cover one hospital location in the Albuquerque metro area
- Primarily proceduralist role for inpatients with ambulatory patients in the morning
- APP support for consultations
- Anesthesia support and dedicated endoscopy suite
- No need to admit or discharge patients as that is performed by the Medicine Hospitalist team
- System-Wide EPIC EMR
Responsibilities
- Makes all professional medical judgments in the care of patients seen
- Manages and oversees the physician/patient relationship
- Participates in system-wide health management initiatives
- Provides input into the practice site's financial, clinical, and service quality performance; budget; capital plan; and personnel issues
- Assists in the development and implementation of clinical and service standards
- Receives and resolves patient complaints
- Participates in the recruitment and replacement of other providers
- Enhances professional growth and development through participation in educational programs, literature review, in-services, and workshops
