Gastroenterology Hospitalist

Mount Sinai is seeking an outstanding GI Hospitalist to join the Division of Gastroenterology at Mount Sinai Morningside and Mount Sinai West. This full-time physician will advance thriving inpatient consultative services, contributing to clinical care, research, and education. The role offers a faculty appointment in Gastroenterology at the Icahn School of Medicine at Mount Sinai, commensurate with experience.

Responsibilities

• Perform rigorous, efficient, and collaborative GI assessments of hospitalized patients
• Engage the entire healthcare team with up-to-date recommendations for diagnostic testing and treatment
• Encourage health promotion, disease prevention, and health maintenance, while providing patient advocacy
• Ensure accuracy and efficiency with an eye towards returning patients home and limiting length of stay
• Serve as teaching faculty for the Division of Gastroenterology and Hepatology Fellowship Training Program and the Department of Medicine Internal Medicine Residency Program
• Participate and perform quality assurance projects and lectures/presentations
• Participate in Peer Review process

Compensation

• Highly competitive salary
• Compensation range $445,000 - $480,000 (not including bonuses/incentive compensation or benefits)

Requirements

• Medical Degree from an Accredited University
• New York State Medical License
• Board Certified/Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
