Sanford Health is seeking a BC/BE fellowship-trained Gastroenterologist to join their established team at Marshfield Medical Center in Marshfield, Wisconsin. This outpatient-only role offers an excellent work-life balance with no evening, weekend, or holiday call. The position provides a flourishing, high-volume GI practice supported by Advanced Practice Providers.

Practice Info

  • Outpatient-only role with no evening, weekend, or holiday call
  • Outpatient GI position supported by dedicated Advanced Practice Providers
  • GI unit comprised of 10 rooms
  • Outpatient clinic adjacent to Marshfield Trauma Level 2 hospital campus
  • On-site ancillary services include Radiology, Interventional Radiology, Infusions, Lab, and an OSC
  • Flexibility to have 100% procedure-based practice if desired

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to adolescent and adult patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the stomach, intestines, and related structures
  • Perform history and physical examinations
  • Provide consultative services
  • Perform biopsies
  • Collaborate with a multi-disciplinary team which includes experienced and dedicated Nurse Practitioners
  • Be involved in medical education and research

Compensation

  • Compensation floor of $800,000 for the first two years of the employment contract, plus estimated potential to exceed compensation floor from personally performed wRVUs
  • $200,000 retention incentive to be paid if you remain a 1.0 FTE for 4 years

Shift & Schedule

  • NO evening, weekend or holiday call
  • Weekends off

Requirements

  • H-1B and J-1 visa sponsorship available
  • BC/BE fellowship-trained Gastroenterologist
  • Additional training and interest in ERCP/EUS is preferred, but not required
  • M.D. or D.O. degree
  • Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program
  • Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada
  • Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA) or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable
  • If not board certified, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training
  • Ability to demonstrate active involvement in 50 gastroenterology cases in the last 12 months
