Sanford Health is seeking a Board Eligible/Board Certified Gastroenterologist to join their established group of eleven general gastroenterologists, hepatologists, and EUS/ERCP trained partners at the Sanford Center for Digestive Health. - GI Hospitalist Program manages the inpatient service.
- Sanford USD Medical Center has a 10-unit, state-of-the-art GI Center with 36 pre and post-procedure private rooms.

Responsibilities
- Perform history and physical examinations.
- Admit patients (if applicable to the setting).
- Provide consultative services.
- Evaluate, diagnose, and provide nonsurgical care to adolescent and adult patients presenting with illnesses, injuries, and disorders of the stomach, intestines, and related structures, such as the esophagus, liver, gallbladder, and pancreas, including biopsies.

Shift & Schedule
- Remaining call shared equally by the group.

Requirements
- BE/BC in Gastroenterology.
- M.D. or D.O. degree.
- Successful completion of an Internal Medicine residency program.
- Completion of a fellowship in Gastroenterology accredited by the ACGME, the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physician and Surgeons of Canada.
- If not applying directly out of a fellowship, provide a quality profile from hospital(s) where privileges are held showing clinical activity for the last 12 months, including numbers of procedures performed, morbidity, mortality, infection rates, and other complications.
- Demonstrate active involvement in 50 gastroenterology cases in the last 12 months.
- Certification in the primary area of practice by the appropriate specialty/subspecialty board of the American Board of Medical Specialties (ABMS), the American Osteopathic Association (AOA), or the Royal College of Physicians and Surgeons of Canada, as applicable.
- If not board certified at the time of application but completed fellowship training within the last five years, must achieve board certification within five years from the date of completion of fellowship training.
