Schedule and Clinical Balance
The anticipated schedule may include:
- Two outpatient consultation days
- Two procedure-focused days
- One flexible day for inpatient consultations, follow-up care, or program development
- Shared call participation

Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive gastroenterology evaluations
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic upper and lower endoscopy
- Manage inflammatory bowel disease and chronic digestive conditions
- Evaluate liver disease, gastrointestinal bleeding, and suspected malignancies
- Provide inpatient consultations when scheduled
- Develop individualized treatment and follow-up plansCollaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, primary care physicians, nurses, and APPs
- Participate in quality-improvement and service-development activities
- Maintain accurate and timely clinical documentation
Qualifications
- MD or DO degree
- Completion of an accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Completion or anticipated completion of a Gastroenterology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for Tennessee medical licensure
- Strong procedural judgment and collaborative communication skills
- Practicing gastroenterologists and graduating fellows encouraged to apply
- Physicians completing training in 2027 or 2028 are welcome
- ERCP experience is welcomed but not required
