Our client in Michigan is seeking a skilled Gastroenterologist Physician for a 160-day assignment, beginning Mar 28, 2025. This role involves a Monday through Friday schedule with 9-hour shifts, complemented by overnight and weekend call. The physician will perform a variety of GI procedures across both inpatient and outpatient settings.
Practice Info
- Inpatient and outpatient practice settings
- EMR: Athenahealth, Cerner, Paragon, EndoPro
- Inhouse Call, including overnight and weekend shifts
- Average 12 patients per day; up to 12 procedures daily
Responsibilities
- Perform comprehensive GI procedures including EGD, colonoscopy, pH studies, manometry, sigmoidoscopy, and PEG/PEG-J tube placement
- Manage charting, pathology review, and communicate patient result letters and follow-up recommendations to nursing staff without scribe assistance
- Provide care in both outpatient and inpatient practice settings
- See an average of 12 patients per day, with up to 12 procedures daily
- Participate in overnight and weekend call

Qualifications
- Board Certifications: Gastroenterology
- Required Certifications: Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Advanced Trauma Life Support (ATLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), Advanced Burn Life Support (ABLS)
- ERCP/EUS skills are preferred
