Gastroenterologist

Weatherby is seeking a Gastroenterologist for a leave coverage opportunity, providing 24/7 inpatient call coverage without outpatient clinic duties. This role involves managing inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers, focusing on a medium volume of cases within an inpatient gastroenterology practice setting. The position requires proficiency in a comprehensive range of endoscopic and gastrointestinal procedures.

Responsibilities

• Provide 24/7 inpatient call coverage
• Perform inpatient consults, ED consults, and transfers
• Conduct Upper GI endoscopy
• Perform ERCP
• Manage PEG procedures
• Conduct colonoscopy
• Perform liver biopsy
• Manage Sengstaken/Blakemore tube
• Perform esophageal dilatation
• Conduct manometry
• Perform small bowel biopsy
• Conduct sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)

Requirements

• Proficiency in Upper GI endoscopy, ERCP, PEG, and colonoscopy
• Proficiency in liver biopsy and Sengstaken/Blakemore tube management
• Proficiency in esophageal dilatation, manometry, and small bowel biopsy
• Proficiency in sigmoidoscopy (flexible and rigid)
