- Collaborate with hospitalists, surgeons, oncology, radiology, and primary care teams
- Participate in quality improvement, peer review, and patient safety initiatives
- Maintain timely and accurate electronic medical record documentation

Responsibilities
Clinical Duties
- Provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology care
- Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures, including:
- Biopsy and polypectomy
- Hemostasis and dilation
- PEG placement
- Diagnose and manage gastrointestinal conditions including:
- Inflammatory bowel disease (IBD)
- Gastroesophageal reflux disease (GERD)
- Liver disease and hepatitis
- Pancreatic disorders
- Participate in a shared call schedule
Qualifications
- MD or DO from an accredited medical school
- Completion of accredited Internal Medicine residency
- Completion of accredited Gastroenterology fellowship
- Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
- Eligible for or active Maine medical license
