Jackson and Coker is seeking a Board Certified Gastroenterologist for an ongoing locum tenens assignment in Kentucky, starting ASAP in 2026 and extending through the remainder of 2026. This role involves a mix of outpatient clinic, inpatient call, and operating room procedures. The ideal candidate will provide comprehensive gastroenterology care within a supportive team environment.
Practice Info
- Practice setting: Outpatient, Inpatient
- Support staff: 1 NP, 1 clerk, and 1 MA will work with the provider in clinic
- Clinic volume: 25-30 patients per day with a 15/30 schedule
- EMR: Meditech

- Perform EGD, colonoscopies, and other procedures
- Supervise APPs

Shift & Schedule
- Clinic: Monday-Friday 8am-4:30pm
- Call: 7am-7am with 1-2 hours of morning rounding (10 days of call shifts per month)
- OR: 2-3 days per week, 12-15 procedures per day. Fewer if the procedures are longer/more complex.
Requirements
- Physician (MD/DO) must have IMLC or Kentucky license
- ACLS and BLS required
- Must be Board Certified
