Gastroenterologist Hospitalist

Overview

The Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology & Nutrition at Cleveland Clinic is seeking experienced Gastroenterologists for a hospital based position at our regional sites. The majority of time will be spent on inpatient GI consultations and endoscopies. Opportunities for limited outpatient practice are available depending on candidate preferences.

Team Environment

Candidates would join a team of 85+ gastroenterologists within the Department of Gastroenterology, Hepatology, and Nutrition throughout Northeast Ohio. This is an established and respected team dedicated to quality patient care.

Responsibilities

• Perform inpatient GI consultations and endoscopies.
• Execute limited outpatient practice as per preferences.
• Assist with consult volume and facilitate outpatient follow-up alongside nurse practitioners.
• Advance leadership skills in community hospital settings and lead GI inpatient consultative programs.
• Measure and demonstrate hospitalist program value and collaborate with consulting physicians and hospital leadership.

Qualifications

• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
• Ability to obtain an Ohio medical license and satisfy hospital credentialing requirements.
