Schedule: Monday–Friday | 8:00 AM – 5:00 PM

No Call | No Weekends | No Holidays

Job Summary

We are seeking a Board Certified or Board Eligible Gastroenterologist to join a highly respected healthcare system in Albuquerque, New Mexico. This is an excellent opportunity for a physician seeking a procedure-focused practice with a predictable weekday schedule and outstanding work‑life balance.

The provider will primarily perform inpatient GI procedures at the main hospital, with minimal consult responsibilities and no routine rounding requirements.

Responsibilities

• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic gastrointestinal procedures
• Conduct upper and lower endoscopic procedures
• Evaluate and manage inpatient gastroenterology cases
• Perform esophageal dilation and foreign body removal procedures
• Provide occasional inpatient consultations when clinically necessary
• Collaborate with Advanced Practice Providers and multidisciplinary teams
• Maintain accurate and timely documentation in EPIC

Required Qualifications

• MD or DO from an accredited medical school
• Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology
• Board Eligible candidates must obtain certification within 5 years of training completion
• Active or eligible New Mexico medical license
• Current BLS Certification
• Current ACLS Certification

Preferred Qualifications

• ERCP Experience
• Endoscopic Ultrasound (EUS) Experience
• Previous inpatient gastroenterology experience
• Experience working with EPIC EMR
