Gastroenterologist

Seeking a locum tenens Gastroenterologist for an ongoing opportunity starting in October through 2027 at a hospital in Fort Myers, Florida. The clinician will provide comprehensive inpatient and outpatient care, managing daily consults and procedures for an adult patient population. This role includes required call coverage, day shifts, and the support of advanced practice providers across multiple locations.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient and outpatient gastroenterology coverage
• Manage 8-12 consults and 2-8 procedures per day across inpatient and outpatient settings
• Provide call coverage scheduled every night or every other night

Shift & Schedule

• Dates needed: October - Ongoing 2027
• Day shift, 24-hour shift, and call
• Day shift hours from 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, extended as patient volume requires
• Call coverage required and may be scheduled every night or every other night

Requirements

• Board certification required
• Must be open to covering both inpatient and outpatient needs
• Inpatient EUS and ERCP experience preferred though not required
