Gastroenterologist

An exciting Locum Tenens opportunity for a Gastroenterology MD is available starting January 2027 in Alabama. The physician will provide inpatient coverage on a 24-hour shift basis, managing inpatient consults and performing procedures for adult patients. This role offers a collaborative environment with APP support and physician colleagues to assist during elevated census periods.

Responsibilities

• Provide inpatient gastroenterology coverage on a 24-hour shift basis, Monday through Sunday
• Round on patients
• Manage inpatient consults averaging 16-20 per day
• Perform procedure add-ons ranging from 6-10 per day depending on census
• Provide call coverage for all 7 days of the shift
