Role Overview
Game Developers and Designers apply game design and development expertise to create, evaluate, and refine game assets, prompts, and model responses used in AI research. In this role you will help improve how AI systems understand and perform real-world professional tasks within the game development domain.
Key Responsibilities- Use your domain knowledge in game design and development to produce and review materials that train and test AI models.
- Develop domain-specific prompts, example tasks, and scenario descriptions for evaluation.
- Evaluate large language model responses for accuracy, relevance, and usability in game-development workflows.
- Provide structured feedback and edge-case examples to improve model behavior in your specialty.
- Work asynchronously with remote research teams to deliver completed tasks on schedule.
- At least 1 year of full-time work experience using one or more of the following tools:
- Godot
- LibreSprite
- O3DE
- Stride
- Defold
- Solar2D
- MonoGame
- libGDX
- Panda3D
- Cocos2d-x
- PyCharm
- Other related technical tools used in game development or asset creation
- Demonstrated capacity to work asynchronously with distributed AI research teams.
- Remote, asynchronous work from any location.
- Flexible hours, with no minimum hourly commitment required.
- Part-time engagement, with projects assigned as they become available.
- The program runs year-round, and project opportunities open periodically across different specialties, placement depends on project availability.
- Up to $125/hr (depending on the project)
- F-1 students who are eligible for CPT or OPT may be eligible for projects. Consult your Designated School Official to confirm whether a given project meets your school’s CPT requirements.
- If your school requires enrollment in a CPT course, the projects in this program may not satisfy that requirement.
- STEM OPT is not supported for these projects.
