School Educational Technician III
Assist teaching staff in the delivery of appropriate instruction and services to support the educational development of students and to provide academic interventions to small groups of students. Works with individuals or small groups of students to provide instructional and assessment support with and without direct teacher supervision. May introduce new learning preplanned in collaboration with the classroom teacher and/or academic support team. May develop specific instructional plans within the framework of a teacher defined sequence of instruction. Teach small groups or individual students using specialized, evidence-based methods in reading and/or math. Assists in the supervision of students during classroom activities, emergency/fire drills, assemblies, and field trips. Collaborates and communicates effectively with classroom teacher(s) Participates in professional development and workshops. Performs lunch, recess, and/or arrival and dismissal duties. Performs such other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the building principal.
