Mitigation Manager (Production & Field Operations)We're hiring a hands-on Mitigation Manager to own job flow, reporting, and crew direction—ensuring jobs move fast, are fully documented, and finish clean the first time. If you've led mitigation jobs in the field and are ready to take control of daily operations, this is that role. Location: Paul Davis Restoration of Downriver Detroit Reports To: Owner Type: Full-Time | Field-Based | On-Call Required This role is designed to grow into a full operations position as the company scales.Primary ObjectiveOwn the execution, flow, and completion of all mitigation jobs. This role is responsible for:Getting crews moving quicklyEnsuring jobs are done correctlyMaking sure documentation is complete and accurateEliminating delays, mistakes, and return tripsYou are not here to assist. You are here to ensure that every job is executed, documented, and finished professionally—without the owner needing to step in.What This Role Actually OwnsYou are responsible for making sure:No one is sitting idle waiting for directionNo job is left incomplete or undocumentedNo homeowner is inconvenienced by avoidable mistakesNo job requires unnecessary return trips If those things are happening, you own fixing them.Key Performance Metrics (How You Will Be Measured)This role is accountable for two primary outcomes: 1. Job Cycle TimeJobs are started quickly and move efficientlyDelays are identified and addressed immediatelyNo unnecessary downtime, idle crews, or stalled jobs2. Customer SatisfactionJobs are completed fully and correctly the first timeNo avoidable return trips or missed stepsClear communication and a smooth customer experienceThis role exists to reduce job cycle time and improve customer experience through strong execution, clear communication, and complete job closeout.Core ResponsibilitiesDaily Job Coordination & DispatchOwn daily scheduling and technician assignmentsEnsure crews are dispatched quickly—no idle time at the warehouseSet clear daily priorities across all active jobsMonitor progress throughout the day and adjust as neededMaintain urgency and accountability across the teamJob Execution & Production OversightOversee all mitigation jobs (water, fire, mold, storm)Ensure proper execution of drying, demolition, containment, and safety practicesStep in when jobs fall behind or standards are not metSupport the team in the field when neededJob Closeout & Documentation EnforcementEnsure all jobs are fully completed before being considered "done"Enforce completion of: MICA / job logs, photos, notes, syncing and uploadsReview documentation for accuracy and completenessEliminate the need for leadership to chase updates or missing informationIf it's not documented and synced, it's not done.Quality Control & StandardsEnsure all work meets IICRC standards, insurance compliance, agreed upon scope, and company expectationsVerify equipment placement, drying progress, and job setupIdentify and correct mistakes immediatelyPrevent callbacks and return trips through proper executionEstimating Support (Mitigation)Build or assist with rough mitigation estimates for bids and time-sensitive jobsGather accurate field data (measurements, photos, notes)Support and/or initiate estimate requests using Xactimate, FAST, or Docusketch workflowsEvaluate/review 3rd party estimates to ensure that scope of estimate matches field workEscalate complex or unclear scopes before moving forwardReconstruction CoordinationIdentify when mitigation is complete and reconstruction is requiredRecognize early indicators that reconstruction involvement is neededInitiate communication with the Reconstruction Project ManagerEnsure jobs are fully prepared for handoff with clear documentation and scopeNo job leaves mitigation without a clear next step.Team Leadership & AccountabilityLead technicians with clear expectations and consistent standardsAddress performance issues directly and immediatelyReinforce urgency, professionalism, and attention to detailSet the tone for how work gets done every dayWhat Success Looks Like (60–90 Days)Crews move without being told what to doJobs start faster and stay on trackNo missed documentation or syncing issuesSignificant reduction in return tripsHomeowners experience a smooth, professional processOwner is no longer chasing updates or directing daily activityWhat We're Looking ForThis is not a passive role.
