Furnace OperatorJSW Seel is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Furnace Operator to join our team. In this role, you will be responsible for safely operating and monitoring furnace equipment to ensure materials are heated to precise specifications while maintaining quality and compliance standards.Key ResponsibilitiesHeat metal slabs to specified temperatures according to production requirementsMonitor, operate, and maintain furnace equipment to ensure safe and efficient performanceObserve and record air, temperature, and system gaugesIdentify and report any equipment issues or process deviations to the supervisorEnsure emissions remain within regulatory and company standardsConduct daily inspections of furnaces, including the furnace basement, and report any hot spots or safety concernsWeigh materials using furnace scales and maintain accurate recordsPerform routine checks and assist with preventative maintenance as neededSupport additional tasks and responsibilities as assignedQualificationsHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredMinimum of 1 year of experience operating furnace equipmentWorking knowledge of reheating furnaces and heating processesBasic computer skills for data entry and monitoring systemsAbility to work a rotating schedule, 12-hour shifts (6:00 AM – 6:00 PM), 4 days on / 2 days offJSW Steel USA is an equal opportunity employer.
