FURNACE BRAZE/SECONDARY OPS OPERATOR

Job TitleThe primary functions of this role are in tapping (manual insertion of assembly and automated tapping), resistance welding, automated screw insertion, furnace brazing and other manual secondary operations. Additionally, all Alloy Holdings employees must support and live the company values: Do the Right Thing, Respect One Another, Be Positive, and Please Our Customers in all aspects of the job.Essential Job DutiesTapping – involves sitting at a semi-automatic tapping unit where the operator places a part into a fixture and the unit taps the pierced hole.Resistance Welding – involves sitting at a welder where the operator inserts two parts into a fixture and the machine welds the two parts together.Oversight of automated equipmentFurnace brazing – involves using carbon fixtures where the operator places copper substrates and silver buttons into place and puts the fixture into a furnace brazing oven. At the exit of the furnace, the operator then removes the parts from the fixture and inspects the parts.Quality checks utilizing control parametersMaterial transactions – operator will use our MRP system to assign and issue components to a production lot and then complete transactions for the amount of parts produced.Material handlingSupport a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near missesQualifications/RequirementsHigh school diploma or equivalent preferred.Manufacturing/machine operator experience of 3+ years preferredAbility to read process sheets and printsAbility to work with close tolerancesKnowledge of using verniers, calipers and micrometers preferred, but can trainWorking with quality control and data collectionPhysical Requirements/SafetyAbility to lift up to 25 lbsSupport a safety culture by following all safety rules including reporting all incidents and near misses.Checon, LLC is a division of Alloy Holdings, LLC.
