Funds Attorney

Role Overview

Apply your funds and contract expertise to help improve advanced AI systems used for real-world legal work. This remote, part-time contractor role focuses on training and evaluating AI through contract drafting, review, negotiation, and redlining scenarios, helping improve how models interpret legal language and identify risk.

Key Responsibilities

• Conduct simulated contract negotiations and redlining exercises.
• Review and evaluate AI responses to contract scenarios, providing detailed feedback to improve precision and performance.
• Develop objective evaluation frameworks and grading criteria for AI contract tasks.
• Work with product and research teams to refine data, guidelines, and best practices for AI-driven contract review.
• Help shape the training, evaluation, and practical application of AI for legal professionals.

Qualifications

• J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school.
• Active bar admission in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• At least 2 years of experience in the funds department of a corporate law firm.
• Experience with fund management, fund formation, contract redlining, and contract negotiations.
• Familiarity with standard M&A agreements, including LPAs, subscription agreements, and side letters.
• Exceptional written and verbal communication skills and close attention to detail.
• Strong analytical skills, including the ability to turn legal expertise into actionable feedback for AI systems.
• Commitment to innovation at the intersection of law and technology.
• Experience collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams in fast-paced environments.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior exposure to AI, legal technology, or training initiatives.

Work Terms

• Remote, part-time contract engagement.

Compensation

• $90 to $150 per hour.
