Trading from Texas and the Southwest: Trade US markets from your local time — the NYSE opens at 8:30am Central and closes mid-afternoon. Texas is now home to one of the fastest-growing financial industries in the country, with major firms relocating to Dallas and Houston. Central Time gives you a 8:30am market open with an early afternoon close.
