A law firm seeks a junior associate to join its expanding Fund Formation group in Boston. This role offers an opportunity for candidates from various practice areas to transition into fund formation. The team collaborates with venture capital, growth equity, and other investment funds across the U.S. and internationally, providing support throughout the fund lifecycle.
Duties
- Assist in the formation, structuring, and operation of private investment funds.
- Advise clients on fund governance, regulatory compliance, and investor relations.
- Prepare offering materials and draft governing agreements.
- Process investor subscription documents and negotiate with investors.
- Collaborate with partners and senior attorneys on various client matters.
Requirements
- JD from an accredited law school and active membership with the Massachusetts Bar, or eligibility to waive in.
- Interest in the venture capital industry is essential.
- Strong academic credentials and solid analytical and writing skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects effectively.
- Excellent communication, organization, and drafting skills.
- Collaborative mindset and enthusiasm for working with innovative clients.
Education
JD from an accredited law school.
Certifications
