The ideal candidate will bring strong fund accounting and financial reporting experience, specifically in the secondaries/fund of funds space. This is an opportunity for an experienced professional to take ownership of core accounting responsibilities while also helping shape the infrastructure and processes of an expanding platform.
Primary Responsibilities
- Oversee fund accounting and financial reporting for multiple private investment funds, managed accounts, and related investment vehicles
- Review and oversee NAV calculations, financial statements, investor allocations, and other periodic fund reporting
- Manage and review accounting deliverables prepared by third-party fund administrators and other external service providers
- Review fund-level activity, including capital calls, distributions, investment activity, expenses, and other accounting transactions
- Oversee the reconciliation of fund accounting records and investigate and resolve discrepancies across internal systems and third-party providers
- Review management fees, incentive fees, carried interest, and other fund-level calculations in accordance with governing documents
- Oversee data governance and the integrity of financial and operational data across fund administrators, vendors, portfolio monitoring systems, and internal platforms
- Review and analyze budgets across multiple fund entities and partner with relevant teams on forecasting and liquidity projections
- Develop and enhance accounting policies, procedures, controls, and reporting processes to support the continued growth of the platform
- Help implement scalable fund accounting infrastructure, systems, and processes, including opportunities for automation and process improvement
- Support the accounting and operational setup of new investment products and fund structures, including coordination with third-party administrators and other service providers
- Partner closely with Investment, Operations, Tax, Legal, Treasury, Technology, and Client teams on fund accounting and reporting matters
- Respond to investor and client accounting and reporting requests, including those associated with fundraising and other key business initiatives
- Provide oversight, coaching, and review of junior team members
- Lead ad hoc accounting, reporting, and strategic operational projects for senior leadership
This role will go in office on a hybrid schedule, 3 days in/2 from home. Compensation will go up to $350k base, $500k-550k all in.
