Fund Controller | Boston
A leading global investment management firm is seeking an experienced Fund Controller to join its growing finance and fund operations team. This is a high-visibility opportunity to take ownership of complex fund accounting and reporting activities while partnering closely with investment, operations, tax, audit, and other internal teams.
Compensation: $145,000-165,000 on a base + bonus
Schedule: Onsite 4 days/week
Responsibilities:
- Oversee fund accounting, NAV, financial reporting, and audits
- Manage capital calls, distributions, cash, and fund expenses
- Review complex investment transactions and partnership accounting
- Partner with internal teams, administrators, and auditors
- Support new fund launches and operational initiatives
Requirements:
- 8+ years of relevant fund accounting and public accounting experience
- CPA required
- 3+ years of private equity, private credit, or hedge fund experience
- Strong partnership accounting and U.S. GAAP knowledge
- Experience with complex fund structures, waterfalls, carried interest, and capital activity
- Strong Excel skills
