Fund Accounting Manager
A leading middle-market private equity firm is seeking a Fund Accounting Manager to join its team. This is a key role overseeing fund accounting, financial reporting, controls, and operational activities across multiple investment vehicles.
Responsibilities
- Oversee quarterly and annual financial reporting across complex private equity fund structures
- Manage third-party fund administrators and review financial statement packages
- Lead year-end audits and serve as a key liaison with external auditors
- Review carried interest, waterfall calculations, management fees, expenses, and investor allocations
- Oversee capital calls, distributions, cash management, and credit facility activity
- Support investor reporting and regulatory requirements across U.S., Cayman, and Luxembourg structures
- Interpret LPAs and side letters to ensure accurate accounting, allocations, and distributions
- Identify and implement process improvements and support special projects
- Lead, mentor, and develop members of the fund accounting team
Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting or Finance required
- 5+ years of progressive experience in private equity fund accounting and/or Big 4 with significant PE exposure
- CPA strongly preferred
- Strong knowledge of U.S. GAAP and private equity fund structures
- Experience managing or mentoring team members
- Strong technical accounting, analytical, and communication skills

The approximate salary range for this position is between $120K-$160K, depending on experience.
