Fund Administrator / Accountant
Location: Remote to start; DC-area candidates strongly preferred, with flexibility to work in a future Tysons office 1–2 days per week.
We’re partnering with a private investment firm seeking a junior Fund Administrator / Accountant. This opportunity combines hands-on accounting, fund operations, and direct investor communication.
What You’ll Do
- Coordinate and process wires and investor distributions -- a significant portion of the role.
- Support general ledger accounting, reconciliations, and month-end close.
- Maintain accurate transaction records and supporting documentation.
- Communicate professionally with investors regarding transactions and related inquiries.
- Help keep accounting and fund administration processes organized and timely.
What We’re Looking For
- A degree in Accounting or a strong accounting background with ~1-2 years of experience.
- Strong communication skills and a polished, professional approach to investor interactions.
- Excellent attention to detail, organization, and follow-through.
- Comfort handling sensitive financial information and time-sensitive transactions.
- Experience with a fund administrator, venture capital firm, or investment firm is a plus.
