Fund Accountant
CFS is partnering with a well-established investment management organization to identify a Fund Accountant for a growing team. This hybrid opportunity offers 2 days onsite in Boston and a competitive salary of $80,000-$90,000 plus bonus potential and excellent benefits.
Fund Accountant Responsibilities
- Prepare and maintain fund-level accounting records and financial statements
- Reconcile cash, investments, capital activity, and partner allocations
- Assist with quarterly and annual reporting requirements
- Support NAV calculations and performance reporting
- Coordinate with auditors, tax professionals, and external service providers
- Review investment transactions and ensure accurate accounting treatment
- Assist with investor reporting and ad hoc financial analysis
Fund Accountant Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 1-4+ years of accounting experience, preferably within investment management, private equity, hedge funds, or public accounting
- Strong understanding of GAAP and financial reporting principles
- Advanced Excel skills
- Detail-oriented with strong analytical and organizational abilities
- CPA track or CPA designation is a plus
