Key Responsibilities As a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker at West Neurological and Therapy Clinic, you will be tasked with several key responsibilities that include: Conducting comprehensive clinical assessments, identifying patient needs, and developing individualized treatment plans involving modern evidence-based practices. Administering therapeutic interventions such as cognitive-behavioral therapy (CBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT), and other personalized approaches tailored to meet each client’s unique needs. Maintaining accurate, timely clinical documentation in compliance with HIPAA and other relevant regulatory guidelines, ensuring that client privacy and security are prioritized. Collaborating with a multidisciplinary treatment team, which includes psychiatrists and psychologists, to provide high-quality, coordinated care for clients. Engaging in regular case consultations and peer supervision meetings to reflect upon practices, share insights, and enhance clinical skills and service delivery. Providing valuable education and support to clients and their families, helping them understand mental health challenges and guiding them toward available community resources. Continuously updating one’s knowledge of the latest research and developments within the mental health field, effectively integrating new findings into practice to improve patient outcomes. Patient Population / Client Focus In this role, you will work primarily with students and their families, addressing a broad spectrum of mental health issues ranging from anxiety and depression to behavioral disorders. This focus on a school-based environment cultivates a commitment to helping young individuals navigate their mental health while supporting their academic and social development. Qualifications A master’s degree in Social Work from an accredited institution is required. A valid, unencumbered license to practice as a Licensed Independent Clinical Social Worker (LICSW) in Washington State. A minimum of two years of direct clinical experience in providing psychotherapy services, preferably with a focus on school-based settings. Demonstrated expertise in applying solution-focused therapy techniques and interventions. Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, enabling effective relationships with clients, families, and colleagues. Strong analytical skills and the ability to critically assess client needs and treatment options. A collaborative spirit, capable of functioning well within a team-oriented environment. Preferred Experience Experience working in a remote setting with proficiency in telehealth technologies and virtual therapy delivery methods. Familiarity with educational systems and understanding of the challenges faced by students in school environments in relation to mental health. Proficiency in community resource navigation and advocacy for mental health support services.
