Veterinary Receptionist – Join Our Team!South Side Flats Animal Hospital | Pittsburgh, PAAre you friendly, organized, and passionate about helping pets and the people who love them? South Side Flats Animal Hospital is looking for an enthusiastic Veterinary Receptionist to become the welcoming face of our practice! This is a full-time position that requires you to be available every other Saturday.Our reception team plays an essential role in creating a positive experience for every client—from the first phone call to the moment they head home with their pet.What You'll Do:Greet clients and patients with warmth and professionalismAnswer phones, schedule appointments, and manage client communicationsCheck patients in and out and process paymentsMaintain accurate client and patient recordsHelp coordinate prescription requests and follow-up careCommunicate effectively with veterinarians and clinical team membersProvide compassionate support during both routine and emotional visitsKeep the reception area organized, welcoming, and running smoothlyMonitor and manage the hospital's email inbox, responding promptly and professionally and directing messages to the appropriate team member.Ensure patients are scheduled for their next recommended visit before leaving the hospital, supporting continuity of care.What We're Looking For:Previous experience as a Veterinary ReceptionistExcellent communication and customer-service skillsA friendly, compassionate, and professional approachStrong organization and attention to detailThe ability to multitask and remain calm in a fast-paced environmentDependability and a team-focused attitudePrevious veterinary or medical reception experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidateWhy Join South Side Flats?You'll become part of a dedicated team that values collaboration, excellent patient care, and meaningful relationships with our clients.
