The position involves basic sewing operations, garment handling, and quality checks. Successful candidates must complete a 2-week Apparel Sewing Training program and an initial training period.Operate single-needle and basic automated sewing machinesAlign and sew garment parts using guides and templatesTrim excess threads and prepare garments for packagingInspect garments and perform basic repairsMaintain a clean and safe work environmentFollow LEAN and 5S principlesSupport ISO-9001 and quality management systemsParticipate in safety and ergonomic programsMeet or exceed a 90% proficiency rating on assigned tasksPerform other related duties as assignedAt least 18 years of ageSuccessfully passing pre-hire sewing assessmentSuccessful completion of 2-week Apparel Sewing Training program if requiredSuccessful completion of initial training periodAbility to count and follow instructionsFrequently lift and/or move up to 10 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 25 poundsAbility to receive constructive feedbackAbility to stand, walk, handle materials, and sit for extended periods of timeAbility to reach with hands and armsAbility to thread needlesAbility to see stitchesAbility to visually see colorAbility to work in an environment with moderate noise levelThe physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job.
