Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN)
Licensed Practical Nurse (LPN) provides direct patient care in Independence, Missouri, with occasional travel to Overland Park, Kansas. Key Responsibilities:
- Provide direct patient care under supervision of registered nurses and healthcare providers
- Administer medications and treatments per physician orders and facility protocols
- Monitor patient conditions and report changes to the clinical team
- Accurately document patient information, treatments, and care plans using Matrix EMR
- Assist with admissions, discharges, and ongoing patient assessments
- Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams to ensure quality patient outcomes
- Educate patients and family members about treatment plans and care instructions
- Maintain compliance with all state, federal, and facility regulations
Qualifications:
- Graduate of an accredited Licensed Practical Nursing (LPN) program
- Active Missouri LPN license required
- Compact nursing license or active Missouri and Kansas LPN license required
- Strong communication skills
- Organizational skills
- Clinical assessment skills
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a healthcare team
Preferred Skills:
- Minimum of 1 year of LPN experience
- Current CPR/BLS certification
- Experience with Matrix EMR
