Principal Engineer, EMC and Wireless Compliance

Lake Forest, CA (Inoffice 4x/week)

Our client seeks aPrincipal EMC Electrical Engineer to join our R&D team in Lake Forest, CA.This role focuses on ensuring our electro-mechanical surgical instruments meetglobal EMC and Wireless certification requirements.

You will:

  • Research and developproduct requirements, provide strategic planning for compliance, and performtest assessments throughout the development lifecycle.
  • Support productdevelopment with specialized EMI/EMC hardware and software (ElectromechanicalInterference / ElectromechanicalCompliance).
  • Conduct testing inour EMC Lab and external labs.
  • Utilize simulationsoftware for PCB layout verification.
  • Lead internal andexternal teams to ensure timely and cost-effective results
  • Document and executeV&V tests compliant to medical device standards (QSR, ISO 13485), andprepare detailed test plans and reports.

Requirements

BS degree (or equivalent experience) and 5 years ofrelevant experience.

Proven EMI/EMC/Shielding/Simulation experience indeveloping highly sensitive electronic devices.

Excellent documentation, communication, and presentationexperience.
