Job Duties and Responsibilities
- Meet minimum qualifications as a Physical Therapist, Occupational Therapist, or Speech Language Pathologist and function competently in these roles.
- Interact with and actively promote the practice to physicians regarding problem patients, new programs, and other initiatives.
- Review monthly referral and marketing reports; compile quarterly reviews.
- Orient new therapists to procedures and teach new techniques to improve patient care.
- Review coverage for staff vacation, emergencies, and extra busy patient load; offer assistance to Regional Directors if patient census is down.
- Collaborate with private practitioners to develop ideas that enhance practice efficiency.
- Engage clinical staff to develop new clinical programs.
- Assess equipment needs and help develop budget for acquisition; collaborate on fiscally responsible management of the practice.
- Propose management policies for the practice.
- Ensure flexibility in work hours to accommodate patient load fluctuations.
- Verify weekly statistics for accuracy and timesheets; check schedules by Thursday noon for open evaluation slots.
- Participate in community event/speaking engagement, at least one of each per year.
- Facilitate bi‑monthly facility staff meetings, complete notes and share with regional directors.
Physical and Sensory Requirements
- Be able to sit for up to 90 minutes at a time.
- Be able to stand for 30‑45 minutes consecutively.
- Use hands/fingers to manipulate dials and other equipment.
- Lift/move patients up to 200 lbs. and push/pull patients weighing up to 200 lbs.
- Occasionally stoop, bend, squat, crouch, kneel, and reach above shoulder level.
- Possess tactile sensation for muscle spasms, texture, and skin temperature.
- Hear normal conversation and call bells.
- See general vision, depth perception, and peripheral vision.
Education and Training
Master’s degree in Physical Therapy, Occupational Therapy, or Speech Language Pathology required.
Compensation
Salary range: $84,000.00 – $134,400.00.
