North Texas Infectious Diseases Consultants is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider (APP) to join our infectious disease team. This is an opportunity to work closely with experienced infectious disease physicians while providing comprehensive, patient-centered care to individuals with complex infectious disease needs.
Our APPs play an important role in evaluating patients, developing individualized plans of care, providing ongoing follow-up, and supporting the delivery of high-quality patient care.
What You'll Do
- Evaluate patients and assess their medical conditions and care needs both inpatient and outpatient.
- Obtain and document comprehensive medical histories and relevant patient information.
- Develop individualized plans of care in collaboration with the attending physician.
- Provide ongoing follow-up care and monitor patient progress.
- Initiate laboratory, radiologic, and diagnostic orders as approved by the attending physician.
- Initiate or modify patient care orders in response to changes in the patient's condition, as approved by the attending physician.
- Educate patients and families regarding diagnoses, treatment, care, and follow-up.
- Participate in clinical research opportunities as applicable.
- Participate in the physician-supported on-call program as needed including weekends.
What We're Looking For
- Graduate of an accredited advanced practice program.
- Current Texas APP licensure/certification appropriate to the candidate's credential.
- Approximately two years of APP experience preferred.
- Strong clinical assessment and critical-thinking skills.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work collaboratively with physicians and other healthcare professionals.
- Strong organizational skills and the ability to manage complex patient care needs.
- Commitment to compassionate, patient-centered care.
