Job TitleThis is a position involving substantial responsibility.Job DescriptionEmployee will be responsible for the knowledge and able administration of daily 9-1-1 operations and communications. Position is part time and may require special activities and unscheduled duties and responsibilities. Applicant must have a valid driver's license and/or reliable transportation to report to work on short notice. Must be bondable, subject to successful completion of a thorough background investigation.
No serious misdemeanors or any felony convictions. Three professional and three personal references will be required. Considerable ability to communicate orally and in writing; ability to perform under stress; successfully maintain strictest degree of confidentiality; strong working knowledge of 9-1-1 policies and procedures as outlined by the St. Clair County Emergency Telephone Systems Board; typing ability is required.
US citizen and a resident of St. Clair County, or residency established within the first six (6) months after hire. High school education or equivalent with a preference of post-secondary education. Reports to the Telecommunications Supervisor(s).
