Our client, an AI robotics startup, is building the next frontier of robot control through virtual reality. They're looking for a Full Stack Software Engineer (0 3 years of experience) to help design and build VR-based teleoperation systems that let humans directly enable robots to perform increasingly complex real-world tasks.
This is a rare opportunity to work at the intersection of XR, robotics, and AI writing high-performance, GPU-enabled frontend interfaces and cloud infrastructure that power robots already deployed in real facilities today. Your code will have immediate, visible impact, and you'll have significant ownership from day one.
What You'll Do:
Build and improve VR-based robot control interfaces, including point cloud visualization and real-time perception environments for operators
Develop and optimize the mapping between user actions in VR and physical robot movement, pushing robots toward increasingly difficult tasks
Write performant React frontends and Python-based cloud infrastructure to command and orchestrate robot fleets
Debug and improve system reliability across hardware and software working hands-on with robots nearly every day
Own projects end-to-end, from concept through production deployment, and generate your own ideas for improvement within your first 60 days
What We're Looking For:
Up to 3 years of software engineering experience, with strong React and Python skills
Experience buildin real-time interfaces VR/XR applications, games, graphics tools, robotics interfaces, or other technically rigorous systems
Strong React proficiency, with the ability to write, debug, and reason through frontend code independently
Python proficiency for application logic, backend systems, robotics tooling, or technical workflows
Familiarity with real-time rendering and interactive 3D visualization GPU-accelerated graphics, point clouds, WebGL, Three.js, or similar tools
BS/MS in Computer Science, Engineering, Physics, Math, or a related technical field from a rigorous program
Nice to Have:
Experience building VR, XR, robotics teleoperation, or interactive 3D control systems
Side projects, game development, graphics, or simulation work that demonstrate a strong builder mentality
Startup or small-team experience owning a feature end-to-end and moving quickly with limited structure
Undergraduate or graduate research experience in robotics, graphics, simulation, controls, or interactive systems
