Role Overview
Build and stress-test end-to-end software that helps evaluate advanced large language models before release. You will work directly with an AI lab''s engineering manager on fast-moving projects, quickly becoming productive in unfamiliar codebases and delivering working code early.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and deliver full-stack applications, services, and internal tools using Python, Java, Rust, C#, C++, or TypeScript to exercise frontier model capabilities end to end.
- Integrate pre-release model APIs into functional software, including tool interfaces, evaluation harnesses, and telemetry.
- Investigate and document model and integration failures found during development, turning engineering observations into clear feedback for the research team.
- Rapidly prototype and deliver working increments as requirements evolve and initial specifications remain limited.
- Collaborate with the engineering manager and fellow engineers on code quality, architecture, and technical documentation.
Qualifications
- At least 3 years of dedicated professional experience building and releasing production software at a recognized top-tier organization.
- Production experience in at least one of Python, Java, Rust, C#, or C++, along with working proficiency in a second programming language. The team is deliberately staffed across multiple language ecosystems.
- Hands-on full-stack experience with backend services and APIs, a modern front-end framework such as React, relational or document databases, and cloud deployment.
- Ability to ramp up quickly in unfamiliar codebases and deliver functional code with minimal onboarding time.
- Demonstrable career progression.
- Strong written communication skills, including the ability to clearly explain complex technical decisions.
Work Terms
- Location: India.
- Hourly engagement.
- Full-time weekday commitment of at least 40 hours per week.
Compensation
- 25 to 30 per hour.
