Full Stack Engineering Lead

GTN is seeking an experienced Full Stack Engineering Lead for a hands-on technical leadership opportunity based in Plano, Texas.

This role is ideal for a senior engineer who wants to take greater ownership of technical direction, architecture, code quality, and team development while remaining actively involved in hands-on software engineering.

Key Responsibilities

• Design, develop, and support scalable full-stack web applications and back-end services.
• Provide hands-on technical leadership across application architecture, development, and production delivery.
• Build and enhance applications using Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Guide technical design decisions and establish development best practices.
• Conduct code reviews and help improve code quality, maintainability, and performance.
• Mentor engineers and provide technical guidance on complex development challenges.
• Support business-critical applications where reliability, scalability, and performance are essential.
• Partner with product, business, and technical teams to translate requirements into effective software solutions.
• Contribute to automated testing, cloud-based deployments, and modern software delivery practices.
• Troubleshoot production issues and help drive long-term improvements to application stability and architecture.

Qualifications

• 4+ years of professional software development experience.
• Strong hands-on experience with Node.js, React, and TypeScript.
• Experience building and supporting production web applications and back-end services.
• Strong understanding of application architecture, APIs, and data design.
• Previous experience providing technical leadership, mentoring engineers, or conducting code reviews.
• Experience supporting business-critical applications with a focus on reliability, performance, and maintainability.
• Familiarity with cloud-based application environments, CI/CD, and automated testing.
• Strong communication skills with the ability to work effectively with both technical and business stakeholders.
• Ability to remain hands-on while helping guide the technical direction of the engineering team.

Compensation & Location

This is a hybrid position based in Plano, TX, requiring regular on-site collaboration.

Base salary is $150,000–$180,000, depending on experience.
