About the Role
We're hiring a Senior Full Stack Engineer to build across our entire stack — from the Go services powering our backend to the Ember.js and React interfaces our subscribers and ISP partners use every day. You'll work on AWS infrastructure end to end, shipping features that let people manage their internet service and switch providers on our open-access network.
About the Firm
We're not just laying fiber — we're building the technology layer that makes an open-access network actually work: unified billing, ISP switching, and a cybersecure foundation communities can build on for water, energy, and beyond. We've taken on the capital-intensive, unglamorous work of physically connecting communities that incumbents have ignored for years, and we've built the software to make that investment pay off for the people who live there.
Key Responsibilities
- Build and maintain services in Go, backed by AWS infrastructure, alongside customer-facing features in Ember.js and React
- Work across the stack — from data models and APIs through to the interfaces subscribers and ISP partners interact with
- Partner with product and design to turn community and subscriber needs into working software
- Make architecture decisions that scale as we expand into new markets
- Collaborate with the platform team to keep the system secure and resilient — this runs people's internet access
Qualifications
- Strong hands-on experience across a modern full stack: Go (or similar backend language), AWS, and a frontend framework such as React or Ember.js
- Track record of owning features end-to-end, from backend architecture through shipping in production
- Comfort working in a fast-moving, infrastructure-heavy business where the software supports something physical and mission-critical
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work cross-functionally with product, design, and other engineers
What We Offer
- $160,000–$180,000 base salary + 10% annual bonus
- The chance to build software that directly expands internet access for underserved communities
- A seat on a team combining network engineering, software, and public policy to solve a problem that actually matters
