Responsibilities
- Build rich, performant, and resilient web applications that serve healthcare benefits and management users.
- Collaborate with architecture, security, and UX to ensure architectural compliance and excellent user experience.
- Partner with platform squads to define engineering standards, practices, and tooling.
- Provide engineering thought leadership supporting a cloud-first approach and outcomes for health care solutions.
- Design and build digital RESTful APIs with secure development practices.
- Contribute in Agile and Scrum ceremonies while mentoring and encouraging team members.
- Align solutions with modern development principles including trunk-based development, feature toggles, and branch by abstraction.
- Advance reliability through TDD, automation, and adherence to the Test Pyramid.
- 4+ years designing and implementing web applications.
- Expertise with front-end frameworks and web technologies such as HTML/CSS, JavaScript/TypeScript, web components, Angular, and Node.js.
- Strong background with Java, Spring/Spring Boot, MVC, micro front-end strategy, and microservices.
- Proven experience building secure, scalable RESTful APIs and applying webapp/API security.
- Hands-on Git experience using varied workflows and strong understanding of CI/CD with Jenkins and GitHub.
- Experience with cloud and container technologies including AWS, Docker, and Kubernetes, plus serverless patterns.
- Quality-first mindset with TDD and automation, and in-depth knowledge of secure coding standards.
- Ability to lead and collaborate in a team-based environment with strong communication skills.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related field.
