Full Stack Engineer – Back-end (Java)

We are looking for a motivated Java developer, somebody that is fearless and willing to learn.Mentors with 20+ year experience in Capital Markets/FintechWork with current technologies such as Docker, Python, Machine LearningAccess to industry best practices and tools, AWS, GIT, SLACK, JIRA, ConfluenceJumping into the deep end on an existing app "Can you checkout one of the existing apps and build a test suite to prove the API's are restful?"What does it take to get on the team?3-5+ years developing core Java applications, particularly in the backendFamiliar with writing Java code using multi-threading conceptsYou have to know the basics: java spring, hibernate, transaction management.Communications, can you communicate a tech problem simply using the correct terms, will you understand it when your manager does?Flexibility and being a team player, we are a global team and priorities change. You have to be able to context switch quickly.

Are you flexible with your work hours to accommodate overlap with the global team in the mornings?Care about your craft. Pretty code, testing, covering all of the bases, a good UX are all implied requirements for every task you do, you have to do these things naturally like breathing and eating.What gives you an edge over another candidate?Strong core Java experience, particularly multi-threading etc.Agile, TDD or BDD experienceDebugging Java applications running in DockerServlets, Serverless, Lambda functions etc.
