In this role, you'll help build and sustain a web-based application that ingests, archives, retrieves, and disseminates data to users who depend on timely, reliable information to execute their mission.
Your work will directly support national security by enabling systems that deliver insight when it matters most. This is a hands-on role for someone who takes pride in building reliable, intuitive applications that serve real operators and analysts.What You'll DoTranslate customer needs into clear, well-documented application requirements, partnering closely with the product manager to ensure scope alignmentDesign and implement new application features using Python, Java, JavaScript, and shell scripting, across both front-end and back-end componentsDevelop and manage backend databases supporting data ingest, storage, and retrieval workflowsCollaborate with front-end and back-end engineers to ensure technical requirements are met across the overall application architectureWork with UI/UX experts and mission users to build intuitive, effective, and user-driven interfacesParticipate in daily Scrum meetings to align on priorities, identify blockers, and drive progressTest and validate application features to ensure functionality meets mission and customer requirementsDemonstrate completed software deliverables to the product manager and team at the end of each sprintMinimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field5+ years of professional software development experienceStrong experience with JavaScript (Hono.js) and Python (FastAPI)Strong experience with TypeScript/JavaScript (Vue.js) and Tailwind CSSExperience with DevOps tools and infrastructure, including CDKTF/TerraformExperience with relational database design and SQL query workflowsActive/current TS/SCI with required polygraphWillingness to work onsite full timeU.S. citizenship requiredPreferred QualificationsExperience building chat interfaces and integrating LLMs via APIExperience working with Docker containers for development (Podman)Experience working in AWS cloud environmentsFamiliarity with Git for source controlWhy This Role MattersThe systems you build will be used by people making high-stakes decisions every day.
