Full Stack Developer (Java/Python)Genesis10 is currently seeking a Full Stack Developer for a contract position with a Global Financial Institution located in Pennington, NJ, Charlotte, NC, and Plano, TX. This is a 12+ month contract opportunity.We are seeking a highly skilled Full Stack Developer with strong experience in Java and/or Python, and expertise in event-driven architectures using Apache Kafka. The ideal candidate will design, develop, and maintain scalable applications, working across both frontend and backend layers.
You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality, secure, and performant systems.Responsibilities:Design, develop, and maintain end-to-end web applications (frontend + backend)Build scalable microservices and RESTful APIs using Java (Spring Boot) and/or Python (FastAPI, Flask, Django)Develop and maintain event-driven systems using Apache Kafka (producers, consumers, streams)Work with frontend technologies such as React, Angular, or Vue.jsEnsure application performance, scalability, and reliabilityImplement CI/CD pipelines and support DevOps processesCollaborate with product owners, architects, and other developersPerform code reviews, testing (unit/integration), and debuggingEnsure security best practices and compliance standardsRequirements:Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field5+ years of experience in software developmentStrong experience in Java and/or Python backend developmentStrong experience in Apache Kafka / messaging systemsSolid understanding of RESTful APIsSolid understanding of distributed systems & microservices architectureExperience with frontend frameworks (React, Angular, or similar)Proficiency with Git, version controlProficiency with relational and NoSQL databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MongoDB)Desired Skills:Familiarity with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or GCP)Pay range: $55.06 - $63.06 per hourOnly candidates available and ready to work directly as Genesis10 employees will be considered for this position.If you have the described qualifications and are interested in this exciting opportunity, please apply!
