Senior Engineering LeaderWe are seeking a senior-level engineering leader to own the end-to-end development and maintenance of critical applications that power the businesses. This role combines hands-on technical leadership with delivery execution, platform resiliency, team development, and stakeholder engagement. The ideal candidate is a full-stack engineer who thrives in complex, regulated environments and can drive modern engineering practices to deliver secure, resilient, and scalable software.What You'll Do (Key Responsibilities):Lead end-to-end software delivery: requirements, design, development, testing, deployment, and post-release support across multiple applications and servicesOwn platform resiliency: vulnerability management, compliance to enterprise resiliency initiatives, root-cause analysis, problem management, and continuous service improvementModernize and maintain applications: reduce technical debt, improve code coverage, manage dependency hygiene, and execute structured refactoring plansChampion secure SDLC: ensure code quality, security scanning/remediation, secure configurations, and compliance in partnership with security and risk teamsDrive DevOps excellence: automate CI/CD pipelines, environment provisioning, and release management with robust rollback strategiesArchitect for scale and resilience: design modular architectures, APIs/microservices, caching strategies, data integrations, and performance tuningManage stakeholder relationships: collaborate with product owners, operations, business stakeholders, and cross-functional partner teams to prioritize and deliver outcomesMentor and grow engineers: provide technical guidance, code reviews, career coaching, and cultivate a high-performing, inclusive engineering cultureGovern change and risk: lead change advisory processes, manage regulatory/controls expectations, and maintain audit-ready documentation and evidenceQualifications:10+ years of experience in software engineering with significant responsibility for production systemsProven experience owning both build (development) and run (maintenance/operations) for business-critical applicationsStrong background in full-stack engineering (e.g., Java, Node.js/TypeScript, Python; modern front-end frameworks such as Angular)Experience with API design, microservices, event-driven architectures, data integration, and messaging (e.g., Kafka, MQ)Hands-on with cloud platforms and containerization (e.g., AWS/Azure/GCP, Kubernetes, Docker), or private cloud equivalentsExpertise in CI/CD tooling, testing strategies (unit, integration, performance), observability (logs, metrics, traces), and feature flaggingSolid understanding of application security, secrets management, IAM, and vulnerability managementExcellent communication, stakeholder management, and decision-making skillsNice-to-Haves:Exposure to AI/ML-enabled features, data pipelines, or analytics platformsExperience in data warehousing with Snowflake, orchestrating workflows in Airflow, and implementing modular analytics pipelines with dbt (including CI/CD for dbt, testing, and documentation)Familiarity with regulated financial environments and control frameworks is a plusAdditional Information:Government Position: Candidates must be U.S.

permanent residentsDuration: 6+ month contract to hire opportunityHybrid Work Model: 4 days onsite required weekly in PittsburghSchedule: Monday - Friday, 8:00AM - 5:00PM ESTRate Range: $70-75/hr. W2 (based on experience)
