The Full Stack Data Engineer will design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and backend data services that support an enterprise-grade platform.

This role involves working with modern Java frameworks, SQL, cloud technologies, and CI/CD pipelines to build secure, scalable, and high-performing solutions.

The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to create exceptional customer-focused experiences and contribute to platform modernization and cloud migration initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design, develop, and maintain REST APIs and backend services aligned with enterprise standards and security guidelines.
  • Work with Core Java, J2EE, and frameworks such as Spring Boot or Dropwizard to build scalable services.
  • Develop, debug, and optimize SQL queries and PL/SQL programs.
  • Work with AWS for cloud development, deployment, and application management.
  • Implement CI/CD pipelines and automation practices in alignment with DevOps standards.
  • Develop and maintain unit tests and automation using tools such as JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter, or Bruno.
  • Troubleshoot development, testing, and production issues; participate in root cause analysis.
  • Monitor API and data service performance and ensure adherence to quality and security standards.
  • Collaborate with remote and international teams to deliver high-quality solutions.
  • Contribute to cloud migration efforts and platform modernization initiatives.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree with 5+ years of experience, or master’s degree in Computer Science (or related field) with 3+ years of experience.
  • 3–5 years of experience in Core Java, J2EE, and frameworks such as Dropwizard or Spring Boot.
  • Strong SQL expertise with hands-on experience writing, tuning, and debugging complex SQL and PL/SQL.
  • Experience with CI/CD pipelines and automation tools.
  • Hands-on experience with AWS cloud development and deployment.
  • Strong working knowledge of unit testing and test automation frameworks.
  • Experience with tools like JUnit, Cucumber, JMeter, or Bruno.
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to work in fast-paced, dynamic environments.
  • Ability to troubleshoot, validate, and resolve development and production issues.
  • Experience participating in incident root cause analysis (RCA).

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience working in customer-centric product engineering environments.
  • Strong leadership, communication, and problem-solving skills.
  • Experience working with distributed global teams.
  • Experience building solutions that support AI/ML-driven personalization (a plus).
  • Experience supporting cloud migration initiatives and DevOps best practices.
