Full Charge BookkeeperA growing construction company is looking for a Full Charge Bookkeeper who can take ownership of the company's day-to-day accounting and keep financial operations running smoothly. This is a hands-on position for someone who is comfortable working across the entire accounting cycle and understands the unique financial activity that comes with construction projects. You'll work closely with ownership, project managers, vendors, and field teams while maintaining accurate books and providing timely financial information.Key Responsibilities:Manage day-to-day bookkeeping activities from transaction entry through financial reportingMaintain the general ledger and chart of accountsProcess accounts payable and accounts receivableReconcile bank, credit card, and balance sheet accountsPrepare and post journal entriesTrack project-related expenses and costsReview invoices and code expenses to the appropriate jobsMonitor customer payments and outstanding receivablesPrepare monthly financial statementsAssist with month-end and year-end closeTrack subcontractor and vendor activityAssist with job-cost reporting and project profitability analysisMaintain accurate employee expense and reimbursement recordsPrepare reports for ownership and project managementSupport payroll and payroll-related accountingCoordinate with outside CPA/tax professionals as neededMaintain organized documentation for audits and tax filings
